The Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation Facilities Master Plan guides the development and operations of the Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation division. The plan serves as a road map to guide decision-making for parks and recreation facilities. Updated every ten years, the last plan was published in 2015.

Since then, the County has grown and developed significantly. Fortunately, several of the plan’s recommendations have been accomplished.​  Updating the plan now ensures:
  • relevance and usefulness
  • proper conditions and priorities
  • recommendations align with current recreational needs, interests, and opportunities

​Once finalized, the updated plan will reflect the vision of the public, municipalities, and Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation.
